To thrive as a Senior Software Engineer at MRI Technologies, you'll need a robust set of skills and experiences. A a minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Support is essential. Your background should include software development with strong experience in C++ and Linux, experience with systems integration, anomaly investigation and resolution.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital for collaboration across multiple disciplines, while experience with requirements management and risk analysis will ensure your projects are successful. Lastly, proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft Office will aid in your documentation efforts and presentations.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Strong experience with C++ and Linux
  • Experience with Java and REST API
  • Knowledge of satellite operations and telemetry systems and processing
  • Knowledge of Voice and Network communication
  • Expertise with anomaly investigation and resolution
  • Willingness for off-hours support to ensure lab productivity
  • Ability to assist users and lab managers with data analysis
  • Ability to contribute within a team-oriented environment to achieve long-range goals and objectives
  • Solid written or verbal communication skills
  • Knowledgeable in Java, Python, and bash/csh
  • Knowledgeable in Big Data
  • Knowledgeable in OSComet
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Must be a US citizen due to program requirements.
