Job Description

What does this role entail?   The Director of Insurance Services plays a key leadership role in protecting RangeWater’s assets and operational performance through strategic insurance management, process improvement, and collaboration across departments. The Director partners closely with the Senior Managing Director of  Risk Management and claims professionals to ensure the program remains innovative, compliant, and aligned with RangeWater’s long-term objectives for sustainability, performance, and asset preservation.

The Director of RangeWater Insurance Services reports to the Senior Managing Director of Risk Management and is responsible for the administration, strategy, and performance of RangeWater’s renter’s insurance platform and compliance program. This role leads program growth and optimization, analytics, vendor and broker management, compliance oversight, and integration with RangeWater’s broader risk-management initiatives.

Essential Job Duties: Oversee all aspects of the renter’s insurance program, including captive management, agency operations, broker relationships, vendor integrations, policy management, and compliance documentation.

Manage all licensing and jurisdictional compliance requirements for the insurance agency and captive program.
 

Serve as the primary liaison for all RangeWater partners, including brokers, carriers, vendors, and legal counsel.

Support the Risk Management team with claims intake and coordination of resident liability property claims.

Oversee administrative processes related to resident insurance services and maintain timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Partner with captive manager, insurance carriers, brokers, and technology vendors to optimize program administration.

Collaborate with the Senior Managing Director Risk Management on policy renewals, captive program development, and strategic insurance initiatives.

Partner with Risk leadership to align resident insurance objectives with company-wide safety programs, loss mitigation, and risk-control initiatives.

Analyze and report RangeWater Insurance program performance, including revenue, penetration rates, loss analysis, trends, and compliance analytics.

Ensure regulatory and program compliance across all participating communities.

Lead the Insurance Services team, providing coaching, mentorship, and professional development to support excellence, innovation, and accountability.

Manage data-driven meetings, dashboards, and reporting for senior management.

Foster strong working relationships with Property Management, Operations, Accounting, IT, Legal, and other departments to ensure coordinated communication and execution.

Collaborate closely with Property Management associates to promote engagement, provide education and support, and drive consistent compliance with RangeWater’s renter’s insurance requirements.
