Job Description:The Program Manager / Technical Lead will lead and deliver a comprehensive technology audit across enterprise software systems, infrastructure, and security environments. This role will oversee the full project lifecycle, from discovery through remediation planning, while managing technical resources, ensuring on-time deliverables, and acting as the primary point of communication for client leadership. The ideal candidate has proven experience in program delivery, technical architecture/security assessments, and direct client engagement, with the ability to translate complex technical findings into clear business recommendations.
Program Management & Client Leadership
Serve as the primary client interface, facilitating executive updates, workshops, and working sessions.
Lead overall project planning, execution, timelines, RAID management, and weekly status reporting per SOW deliverables (Inventory, Access Review, Risk Register, Roadmap, Final Audit Report).
Manage project scope, change control, dependencies, risks, and assumptions aligned with the 12-week audit phases.
Coordinate interviews, access needs, and stakeholder engagement with client SMEs.
Ensure acceptance criteria and milestone deliverables are fully met for each project phase.
Technical Leadership & Delivery
Lead technical resources performing the audit across:
Applications & integrations
Infrastructure, servers, firewalls, cloud, backup, and endpoints
Identity, RBAC, Active Directory/IdP, access models, MFA
IT/security policies and data management practices
Guide the team in evaluating configurations against CIS/NIST baselines, documenting variances and permission models.
Oversee risk analysis development, including Likelihood x Impact scoring and prioritization.
Direct the creation of final deliverables, including:
System inventory and diagrams
Access Inventory Report
Executive summary, findings, and 30/60/90-day remediation roadmap
Ensure recommendations are practical, evidence-based, and aligned to industry best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years in IT Program/Project Management, leading multi-phase technology initiatives.
7+ years in technical architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or systems engineering.
Experience leading audits or assessments of enterprise systems, cloud environments, and IT policies.
Strong knowledge of IAM, RBAC, AD/IdP, MFA, firewalls, backups, and IT controls.
Familiarity with CIS, NIST, or similar security frameworks.
Excellent client-facing communication skills with the ability to brief executives and non-technical users.
Experience guiding or mentoring technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in technology audits, security assessments, or compliance readiness.
Exposure to environments with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure, MFA, and common IT platforms similar to systems in scope (NinjaOne, Mimecast, DUO, Drupal, etc.).
PMP, CISM, CISSP, or similar certification (preferred but not required).
