Essential Functions
Accounting Operations
- Handles daily tasks related to the processing and documentation of incoming and outgoing cash transactions (Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable)
- Reconciles financial accounts to ensure accuracy
- Inputs general ledger codes into the accounting system
- Supports internal and external stakeholders by addressing inquiries and resolving issues
- Generates various reports as required, including General Ledger activity, wire transfers, and system reports
Process Improvements & Record Retention
- Keeps detailed and organized records of completed tasks and responsibilities
- Maintains up-to-date procedures related to assigned duties
- Proactively identifies and pursues opportunities for process improvements
- Tests software upgrades and modifications as required
- Stays informed on regulatory updates and industry best practices
Special Projects
- Assumes responsibilities of other Accounting Operations team members during absences to ensure continuity of operations
- Assists with annual regulatory filings or process closings as needed
- Participates in special projects and initiatives that align with the department’s goals
Security
- Comply with MassHousing’s Information Security Program and all other Agency information security policies and procedures
- Take responsibility for any Agency assets assigned to you
- Promptly report any security events, incidents, or weaknesses to MassHousing’s Information Security Team
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent years of experience
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- Eligibility to work in, and travel freely to and from, the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with financial institution applications such as Bank of America CashPro
- Reporting and data Analysis experience

Salary Range: $74,415.12 - $96,739.35
