About this opportunity
This position focuses on contributing to the development of 5G technology as a Power Amplifier linearization and modeling developer. Responsibilities include requirement analysis, system and hardware design, integration, verification, simulations, tool design, and product documentation. The role involves developing sub-system algorithms and integrating machine learning capabilities, with tasks related to signal processing, reduction of signal distortion in Power Amplifiers, and linearizing the downlink chain within Ericsson Radios. Additional responsibilities include collaboration with the PA hardware, DPD/Algorithm, transmitter design, transmit observation receiver, and integration teams at Ericsson.
What you will do
- Select and characterize components for PA designs, analyze and optimize PA/RF circuits, and work with RF link budgets.
- Perform open and closed downlink loop testing during development.
- Basic understanding of TX low power and transmit observation receiver is required.
- Collaborate with design teams on system architecture and link budgets, defining Power Amplifier solutions that balance performance, cost, and manufacturability for timely product delivery.
- Design and develop high-power, wideband PA modules (1W–100W, 600MHz–6000MHz) and integrate them into radio systems with DPD linearization.
- Model and characterize linear/non-linear circuit elements in RF amplifier modules.
- Develop and optimize DSP and ASIC/FPGA algorithms for DPD, CFR, and digital filter design.
The skills you bring
- Candidates should have at least 3-5 years’ experience in developing algorithms for ASICs and FPGAs, along with intermediate knowledge of RF systems and PA hardware design, including TRX Downlink chain and within integration of radio HW and SW products.
