We are seeking an ACM operator for 2nd shift at our Smyrna TN plant.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
Work Hours: 2nd Shift 3:00pm-11:00pm
Job Summary:
The Automatic Clamp Machine (ACM) Set-Up Operator will operate the automatic clamp assembly machine and press.
Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sets up and calibrates machinery and equipment, according to production specifications and instructions.
- Adjusts machine settings, parameters, and controls as needed to optimize production efficiency, minimize waste, and meet production targets and deadlines.
- Performs routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machinery and equipment, to ensure proper functioning and prolong equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions, identify root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions or adjustments to resume production and prevent a recurrence.
- Records production data, including machine settings, material usage, production output, downtime, and quality control results, in production logs or computerized systems.
- Follows safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant work environment for oneself and others.
- Collaborates with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate production schedules, prioritize tasks, and address production-related issues or concerns.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Technical knowledge and understanding of machinery and equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and operational issues.
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet production deadlines.
- Basic computer skills to operate computerized control systems.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience required.
- One year of related machine setup operation or other relevant hands-on mechanical experience is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms.
- May occasionally climb stairs, drive forklifts, and operate equipment.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
