Responsibilities:
Multilink is currently seeking a Strategic Account Executive-MIDWEST for our cable hardware sales department. This position is responsible direct sales to MSOs throughout their territory. The ideal candidate will have experience with B2B sales within the telecommunications manufacturing field, preferably in direct sales to MSOs as a OEM. A thorough understanding of fiber optic cabling required. Internal experience working with customized as well as standard issue products, engineering, technical support and production leaders seen favorably.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and rapidly growing new business and accounts leveraging the complete Multilink offering
- Identifying, qualifying, and capturing sales opportunities by meeting with clients, performing market research, and ultimately presenting advanced integrated sales, offering technologies such as Fiber Optic, UPS Power Cabling and Production Solutions
- Strong sales acumen with value selling and negotiating potential opportunities and projects
- Strategic in defining target accounts and successful discovery approaches to command a position of thought leader/expert
- Experience in interviewing, hiring, training and coaching sales staff to grow and close sales
- Combining information from a variety of sources, creating and analyzing reporting, and using this information to problem solve and make data informed decisions.
- Demonstrated determination to achieve results.
- Strong collaborator with both sales team, other company departments, and externally.
- Adaptable with approach, direction, and methods
- Experienced in understanding market trends and ability to advise on and adjust quickly to follow those trends
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding and ensuring the following of company policies and processes as they relate to production, employee policies, travel, etc.
- Ability to travel, typically within assigned region
- All other responsibilities as assigned by management

- Analytical Thinking - Exceptional ability to analyze data and utilize it to make sound decisions
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 7 years in Cable or Telecommunications hardware/manufactured product offerings
- Minimum of 10 years in direct sales to large corporations. Preferably working with MSOs such as Cox, Charter, and Comcast.
- Ability to develop and present comprehensive sales proposals
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Technical understanding of products and applications
Education:
- Two- or Four-year degree in sales, communication, marketing, engineering or technology related fields strongly preferred. High School Diploma required.
Working Conditions:
- Frequent driving and up to 50% travel
- Moderate pressure to meet customer and company deadlines
