Overall Purpose of the Job
We are seeking a Technical Specialist to join our global fluids technical team based in Winnersh, Reading in Berkshire, supporting water and onsite chemistry activities across international operations.
Key Activities and Accountabilities
Quality is central to everything we do at Expro, and this role is focused on continuously enhancing our service delivery through:-
Technical support and data review
Training and compentency development
Method optimisation and equipment innovation across our laboratory network
The successful candidate will have a methodical, detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to drive improvements in challenging operational environments. The role may involve occasional travel to support training and conduct operational audits; however, no offshore working is expected.
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
Degree (minimum) in Chemistry (or a closely related scientific discipline)
Extensive working experience in one of the following:-
Option 1 - Laboratory Water Analysis
- Hands-on experience conducting water analysis, ideally in the oilfield sector
- Skilled in operating & interpreting data from industry-standard instrumentation, including IC & ICP
Option 2 - Onsite Chemistry/Wellsite Testing
- Experience performing onsite chemistry at onshore and/or offshore wellsites
- Familiar with typical field tests such as basic water quality analysis, H₂S, Radon & Mercury
- Preferably with supervisory experience, including reviewing & validating analytical results from others
