Job title: Middle School Instructional Student Specialist
Job summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Middle School Student Specialist to provide academic support to students in grades 6–8. The ideal candidate will work with students one-on-one or in small groups to help them understand key subject matter, improve their study habits, and build confidence.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide individualized or small-group instruction tailored to the academic needs of middle school students.
- Develop personalized learning plans to address specific challenges and reinforce foundational concepts.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students to engage actively.
- Help students develop essential academic skills, such as note-taking, organization, and time management.
- Regularly communicate with teachers and admin. to provide updates on student progress and discuss goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a tutor or teacher, preferably with middle school-aged students.
- Strong subject matter expertise in core middle school subjects (e.g., Math, English, Science, Social Studies).
Hours: This position is part time. 15 hours per week.
