About the Role We’re looking for a caring, dependable, and hardworking Kennel Attendant to join our team! This role is essential to the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients and boarders. The ideal candidate is compassionate, observant, and takes pride in keeping our hospital clean, organized, and running smoothly.

Whether you’re feeding pets, helping with walks, or assisting the veterinary team, your attention to detail ensures that every animal in our care feels safe and loved.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily care, feeding, and exercise for hospitalized and boarding pets
• Monitor animal behavior and alert the medical team to any changes in eating, activity, or elimination habits
•  Keep kennels, cages, and common areas clean, sanitized, and comfortable
• Wash and disinfect food and water bowls, bedding, and litter boxes
• Assist the veterinary team with animal restraint and sample collection when needed
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments, packs, and linens
• Maintain overall hospital cleanliness — including floors, laundry, parking areas, and outdoor walking spaces
• Follow all safety and infection control procedures and wear appropriate PPE
• Communicate kindly and clearly with clients and team members

Skills & Qualifications

• Love and compassion for animals of all kinds
• Positive, team-oriented attitude
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Reliable and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Experience handling or caring for animals preferred (willingness to learn required)
• Basic computer and communication skills
• Physical Requirements
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
• Able to work in a busy, sometimes noisy environment
• Willing to follow safety protocols related to cleaning products, anesthesia, and radiation
