Job Title: Senior Manager – Threat & Incident Management

Location: Orange, CT or Boston, MA

The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location:

  • Boston, MA: $151,863 – $189,829

  • Orange, CT: $145,260 – $181,575

Job Summary

Responsible for managing day to day activities associated with threat, intelligence and incident management (TIM) across AVANGRID. This is a senior-level management position responsible for working with multiple layers of geographically dispersed management and skilled technical staffs to safeguard company employees, assets and information. Uses professional judgment and discretion in identifying and analyzing risks to ensure a return to normal operations quickly, while ensuring the security and integrity of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective communications related to any threat, investigation, intelligence and incident management matters.

  • Communication should include details of threats, incidents with potential impact, risk analysis, relevant status reports or metrics.

  • Develop and oversee a corporate-wide unified incident response plan that can be customized and scaled as needed. When the plan is activated, provide support in determination of criticality of any incident, investigation of incident actions, appropriate containment and mitigation actions.

  • Improve incident response by coordinating cross functional cyber and physical exercises and by evaluating new technologies and efficiencies.

  • Manage the Avangrid threat and incident team and the investigative teams within the TMI vertical.

  • Manage the budget including monthly analysis of operating results.

  • Create and maintain relationships with internal and external constituents to foster collaboration and cooperation for current and future organizational objectives, including the relevant trade associations, law enforcement, and State Intel Fusion Centers.

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10 years relevant experience in investigation or intelligence gathering or Master’s Degree with 5 years relevant experience in investigations or intelligence gathering.

  • Extensive prior management and supervisory experience of diverse and multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Incident Response/Crisis Management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Security Clearance or ability to obtain.

  • Global view of the business and security threats and incident response.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functionally at the Executive level and with cross-functional teams.

  • Exceptional written/oral communication skills, including demonstrated experience building relationships at all levels of the organization, including C-Suite.

  • Extensive experience and professional judgment when dealing with confidential and high impact events.

  • Successfully demonstrate experience in developing and executing incident and threat response programs (from policy to operations).

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to effectively plan and execute multiple events simultaneously.

  • Ability to analyze financial and operational needs of individual business segments and their impact on combined businesses.

  • Successful record of cross functional management, team building, motivating and leveraging internal and external partners to achieve organizational goals.

  • Ability to collaborate and build successful and effective partnerships with internal and external constituents.
