Job Description This position serves an important role as part of the ISU College of Arts and Letters. The Marketing and Communications Director for the College of Arts and Letters reports directly to the Dean and works with college leadership to help set the marketing and communications vision. The position is responsible for the implementation of all marketing and communications efforts for the College and its departments, programs, and initiatives. This includes internal and external marketing and communications work focused on promotion, recruiting, outreach, and development. Major responsibilities include oversight and production of written press releases, a monthly newsletter, and content for various social media channels. The individual in this position coordinates with and/or supervises other college staff and student workers involved in marketing and communications efforts- and collaborates with the ISU Marketing and Communications team to ensure consistency with the university's standards and vision. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship at this time. Key Responsibilities · Produce written press releases regarding college highlights, announcements, and events. · Produce content for monthly newsletter, with audience over 4,000 · Provide marketing and communications support for specific college recruiting initiatives. · Develop and implement communication strategies to improve student enrollment, recruitment, and retention for the college. · Develop and implement strategies to stay connected with college alumni, donors, and potential donors. · Create and manage content for the college's social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and website. · Develop and maintain relationships with individual departments to better understand and respond to their marketing and communications needs. · Serve as the college's liaison with the university's marketing team to develop coordinated marketing and recruiting plans. · Ensure that all college marketing and communications work is consistent with the university's marketing standards and vision.
Minimum Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. · At least three years professional marketing andcommunications experience. · Experienceoverseeing projects requiring strong writing, editing, fact-checking,and proofreading skills. · Experience designing content with Adobe Cloudor related software. · Demonstrated ability to multitask and workindependently. Preferred Qualifications · Good understanding of institutions of higher education. · Experience managing social media in a professional setting. · Professional experience in a managerial/supervisory role. · Project management experience. · Strong interpersonal skills. · Video recording and editing skills.

Salary will be between $58,000 and $65,000 per year,commensurate with education and experience.
