Job Summary: The Business Development Liaison serves as a front-line ambassador for Saint Francis Health System, building relationships with independent physicians, community providers, hospitals, employers, and other key stakeholders. This role’s primary focus is external relationship development by meeting partners where they are, understanding their needs, and aligning them with Saint Francis solutions while also supporting business development initiatives. The position works closely with Communications and Marketing to help promote service line priorities and provide structured feedback from the field.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Valid driver's License, Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle liability insurance in the amount required by Saint Francis Health System (SFHS) guidelines.
Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of Clinical Operations with Direct Provider Interaction, Healthcare Business Development, Medical or Pharmaceutical Sales, or Physician Relations. Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other applicable software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal that present clear and concise information. Strong relationship-building skills. Strong organizational skills with ability to track activity and provide structured feedback to leadership. Ability to present to groups and conducting in-service sessions. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and manage a field-based schedule.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Serves as a visible ambassador for Saint Francis Health system by building and maintaining relationships with independent physicians, community providers, employers, and other key stakeholders. Promotes service line priorities identified by leadership and marketing/communications, ensuring consistent and accurate messaging in the field. Facilitates internal connections. Supports business development initiatives by participating in strategic projects. Provides timely, structured feedback from field interactions to inform leadership, improve partner experience, and support system-level planning. Coordinates with other customer-facing roles to ensure alignment, avoid duplication, and strengthen system presence.
Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions involving non-routine problems under general supervision.
Working Relationships: Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
Special Job Dimensions: Travel may be required. Some afterhours and weekends required.
