Position Overview
NBCC is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to support our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) for our Mount Holly Location. This role ensures safe, effective, and compassionate care for individuals with opioid use disorder during early morning dosing hours (5:45 AM – 12:00 PM). The position offers flexibility while requiring a commitment of at least two mornings per week, with occasional Saturday coverage preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nursing assessments for new admissions and readmissions.
- Safely administer and dispense medications for substance use disorders in compliance with New Jersey State and Federal regulations.
- Document all medication administration and patient encounters accurately.
- Review and monitor patient medications for potential adverse reactions.
- Collaborate closely with the Medical Director on dosages, adjustments, and patient care.
- Conduct on-site TB testing and other screenings as ordered.
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate significant changes appropriately.
- Provide first aid and emergency care when necessary.
- Support and educate staff regarding patient medical needs.
- Maintain precise, timely clinical records.
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New Jersey (required).
- Minimum commitment of two weekday morning shifts (5:45 AM – 12:00 PM) per week.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment.
- Prior experience in substance use treatment or behavioral health preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
