This position provides nursing services to assist individuals in gaining access to clinic psychiatric/medical services to assist individuals in mental illness through aggressive intervention, frequent in person contact, crisis intervention, long-term contact with individuals, families and service providers. Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, monitoring individuals, families and service providers. Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, monitoring individuals' medication related needs, working with an interdisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, community-based providers, and clinic staff to provide services outlined in the individual's treatment & providing coordination of client needs as necessary. The RN may work in the community ; hours may be outside of clinic hours. The Clinic Nurses are eligible for a 2% annual salary increase after years 1 through 3, year 6, year 8, and 3% after year 10.
Minimum Qualifications:
Position requires a current Texas Registered Nurse license, plus one yar of full-time experience in social behavioral or human services. Skills to problem solve and assess individual needs. Ability to communicate effectively with customers & staff, and the ability to work effectively, as a team member in a fast-paced work setting, ability to plan, implement and prioritize assignments. Ability to document electronically, accurately & timely. Requires current driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior mental health experience preferred. Prefer bilingual skills (English/Spanish) and work well in a team setting.
