SUMMARY

The Inventory Technician is responsible for receiving and pulling of raw materials and ensuring inventory accuracy. The activities involve, meticulous planning through cross-functional interactions and seamless flow of biomaterials from inventory to lab technicians.

This position will ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies, State Departments of Health, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Clinical Practices (GCP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), EMEA and FDA Guidelines, general State and Country Regulations such as but not limited to (CLIA, CAP, USP, ISO 9001, USDA regulations, HTA license, DEA and State Controlled Substance programs) where site appropriate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Ensure that material is pulled and available for lab techs in a timely manner.
    • Ensure that material is returned to their long-term storage locations and updated in FreezerPro daily.
    • Integrate new stock material into inventory as soon as possible.
    • Monitor stock levels of inventory and work with procurement team to replenish stock as needed.
    • Assist Operations Team and Lab Team on an as needed basis.
    • Participate in quarterly inventory counts

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

A strong background in NHA Operations and Inventory function is preferred

Education and/or Experience

High school graduate or experience in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bachelor’s degree in a biological or chemical science field preferred but not necessary.

Other Skills and Abilities

· Proficiency in a variety of computer software programs including MS Office

· Ability to work in a team laboratory environment with knowledge or familiarity with scientific terminology.

· Excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in professional office environment using standard office equipment.

A full-time Monday through Friday workweek with general business hours and flexibility to occasionally work additional hours as needed and approved by management.
