Description
The Operations & Delivery Leader oversees and executes the Practice strategy for project performance. With deep Healthcare Practice knowledge and business acumen, they translate strategy into execution, inspire and empower teammates, manage daily operations, adapt to business issues, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with the practice strategy leader, they build culture, enhance delivery performance, and engage clients to grow the practice. Successful candidates collaborate with Practice Leadership, Market Leaders, Clients, Project Managers, Teammates, Finance, and Human Resources to deliver strategic, data-driven solutions that support teammate development, service delivery, client satisfaction, and organizational success.
- Lead the Practice internally in partnership with Practice Leadership, leveraging and evolving the capabilities of the firm while working with other leadership.
- Work with Leaders and Project Managers, along with legal counsel, to review and negotiate contracts, Letters of Agreements, AIA Agreements, etc., to mitigate risk in scope and contractual terms.
- Assess and analyze project performance with Leaders to optimize business and meet goals.
- Identify potential problems and points of friction within the project life cycle in partnership with Practice Leadership and find solutions to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Effectively communicate with Leadership & Teammates about shifting priorities and projects.
- Provide consistent and constructive feedback to the team and provide teammates with opportunities to achieve professional goals in partnership with HR.
- Manage resource balancing of talent across the Practice and company-wide, identifying opportunities for resource sharing across Practices.
- Develop and execute succession planning, including the transition of important client relationships in partnership with HR.
- Identify and mentor internal employees within the healthcare practice to strategize internal employee movement during succession planning process.
- Maintain and/or develop key account relationships and/or client relationships as necessary as part of the Leadership team.
- Coordinate different teams to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities.
- Foster relationships both internal and external, engaging effectively to collaborate and achieve business performance goals.
- Support and inform continuous improvement enhancements.
- Review documentation and contracts for compliance with company standards, escalating issues as needed.
- Support project or account contract performance, understanding the scope, budget, and quality agreed to by the Client.
- Monitor and ensure Project & Plan data quality.
- Partner with Segment Leaders and Project Managers to provide superior working knowledge of KPIs on all projects and their impact on the overall operations of the practice, including effective multiplier, gross margin, profitability, realization, accounts receivable.
- Financial acumen, including understanding financial performance, analyzing data to derive insights and take necessary actions, and preparing and managing project budgets.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or interior design from an accredited University.
- 10+ years relevant industry experience preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
- Proven track record of managing teams with financial success (consistently hitting KPIs, meeting revenue targets, etc.).
- Experience in leading & managing people and teams including motivation, empowerment, organization, innovation, integrity, decision making, and delegation.
- Extensive experience working with legal on contracts and contract negotiations.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in teams
- Must take initiative and be a proactive change agent
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and be flexible to changing workflow and demands
- Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge or desire to learn employment laws and regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Adept adoption and reinforcement of business systems, processes, and tools, including VantagePoint, Tableau, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.
