As our organization continues to expand, we’re excited to welcome a dedicated Lead System Administrator to join our team.  This remote opportunity offers the chance to play a key role in maintaining reliable and efficient technical operations while contributing to our mission-driven growth.

 

The Lead System Administrator is responsible for assisting in the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and networks. Supports day-to-day IT infrastructure tasks, supervises IT helpdesk team, ensuring optimal system performance, data integrity, and network security under the guidance of Management.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across servers, workstations, and network devices.
  • Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems (Windows, macOS).
  • Create and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions through Active Directory or other directory services.
  • Support data backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes to protect critical business data.
  • Apply security updates, patches, and system upgrades in coordination with IT policies.
  • Maintain and update IT documentation, including configuration details, network diagrams, and user guides.
  • Supervises IT helpdesk team and provide first-level technical support to end users, resolving or escalating issues as needed.
  • Assist with network administration tasks, including monitoring routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Participate in audits, compliance checks, and system security reviews.
  • Supervises help desk team and function
  • Collaborate with senior system administrators and IT teams on infrastructure improvement projects.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 2–5 years of system or network administration experience (helpdesk background is a plus)
  • Technical Skills:
    • Windows Server and Windows 11
    • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN concepts
    • Scripting skills (PowerShell, GPO, Entra Policies)
    • Office 365, Azure, Entra, INTUNE
    • Cloud platforms (Azure)
    • Active Directory
    • Mobile Device Management
    • Experience with monitoring and ticketing tools (Service Desk Plus, End Point Central, M365)    
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Detail-oriented and proactive approach to learning new technologies
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under supervision
    • Experience in Health Care environments a plus

Travel Requirements: Traveling as needed within region/territory. Have reliable means of transportation. Meet requirements of our Motor Vehicle policy.
