Job Description:

Days and Shift Information

  • Monday – Friday

  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

  • 40 hours per week (Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on off-road Mack and Freightliner trucks

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel and electronic engine issues

  • Maintain hydraulic, air brake, spring, and air suspension systems

  • Order parts and manage maintenance inventory

  • Operate service vehicles as needed to support operations

Work Environment

  • Outdoor mill site and service garage

  • Hands-on, physically active role with exposure to heavy equipment

  • Safety-focused culture with independent and team-based work

Qualifications:

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in diesel or heavy vehicle maintenance

  • Must have own tools

  • Familiarity with Mack/Freightliner engines

  • Understanding of electronic engines, hydraulic systems, and air brake systems

  • Ability to read and understand repair manuals

  • Comfortable operating service vehicles

Additional Information:

Pay Rate

  • $28hr-$30hr

Paid Time Off

  • Accrue up to five days of PTO in the first year

  • Two weeks of vacation + one week PTO accrued on first anniversary
