Program Technical Coordinator
Location: Philadelphia, PAPosition Title: Program Technical Coordinator (Program/Project Manager II � eCRAFT MANP2)
Location: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), Philadelphia, PA
Work Arrangement: Remote (with potential on-site visits as required)
Clearance Requirement: U.S. Citizenship and eligibility to obtain a security clearance
Position Overview
The Program Technical Coordinator will provide programmatic, technical, and project management support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) in support of the eCRAFT MANP2 initiative. This position will focus on diesel propulsion and power generating systems for U.S. Navy vessels, ensuring operational readiness, lifecycle support, and alignment with Navy engineering standards. The coordinator will act as a central point of contact for stakeholders, oversee technical requirements, and ensure compliance with program milestones and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide program and technical coordination for U.S. Navy diesel propulsion and power generation system initiatives.
- Manage and support program deliverables, schedules, and documentation in accordance with NSWCPD requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for propulsion and power generating systems, with demonstrated operational and maintenance expertise in:
- FM-Pielstick Model 16V-PA6B STC
- IF Model 1708C2ME8
- MTU Models 8000 & 396
- Develop, review, and maintain technical documentation, including engineering reports, lifecycle support plans, and maintenance procedures.
- Interface with Navy stakeholders, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical issues and coordinate solutions.
- Support training, testing, and readiness assessments to ensure Navy fleet reliability.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and program updates for senior leadership.
- Ensure all work complies with Navy standards, contract requirements, and security protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor�s degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
- In lieu of degree: At least 15 years of U.S. Navy Engineman experience focused on diesel propulsion and power generating systems.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 12 years of Marine Engineering or U.S. Navy Engineman experience in diesel propulsion and power generating systems.
- Demonstrated hands-on operational and maintenance experience with FM-Pielstick, IF, and MTU engine lines (see above).
- Strong understanding of U.S. Navy engineering standards and fleet operational requirements.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration tools.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail.
Compensation: $40-48/ Per Hour
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting NAVSEA, NSWCPD, or other Navy acquisition and sustainment programs.
- Familiarity with Navy logistics, lifecycle support, and fleet maintenance planning.
- Prior program/project management experience supporting technical Navy programs.
Additional Information
- Position Type: Full-time, Remote with occasional travel.
- Security: Must be a U.S. Citizen; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required.
