Job Overview

Madden’s is currently seeking a full time General Maintenance position who provides daily repair and maintenance services for all aspects of the operation, including offices, public spaces, restroom facilities, grounds and other areas as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs general repairs and maintenance for all areas within the operation including but not limited to: plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of the buildings and grounds.
• Carpentry: Performs basic rough and finished carpentry work in construction and repair of structures such as partitions, walls, doors, fences, window frames, office furniture, roofs and shelves.
• Glazier: Removes broken glass, putty or plastic; replaces windows and door hardware; replaces or arranges for replacement of glass for windows, doors and light fixtures.
• Electrical: Performs basic electrical installation and repair work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs, cable tv, power circuits and appliances; repairs lighting systems; inspects electrical systems for unsafe conditions.
• Plumbing: Identifies and performs basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; opens clogged lines and drains; replaces washers and other minor parts; maintains and monitors septic system; General Maintenance: Maintains equipment; repairs/replaces hot water heaters.
• Occasional smaller concrete repairs or projects may be needed
• Pools as needed: Maintain, repair and identify issues with pools on property.  Ensure pools are at satisfactory levels for guests use.
• Identify and report to supervisor when supplies are needed.
• Regular and reliable attendance within a schedule that requires some weekends and evening shifts on an alternating basis
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in multiple outlets and facilities.  

Physical Demands:

Primarily stationery such as sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time. Must have the ability to stand, walk, talk/hear, both in person and by telephone, occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50-pound boxes and items sometimes repeatedly.

Expected Hours of Work:

Variable schedule. 

Travel:

Less than 10% travel required.
