YOUR IMPACT :

Open Text is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to be instrumental in the analysis, design, development, deployment and testing of SAP based applications. A position is located at our office in Hyderabad, India. This position requires an experienced hands-on developer, who works effectively as part of a team in agile development with demonstrated experience delivering mission-critical operational SAP applications, for S/4HANA Off-Cloud & Private Cloud. The candidate must be able to serve with a commitment to quality. Candidate will need to work closely with our team in developing solutions and other work products through multiple phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle using SAP technologies and frameworks.

What The Role Offers

This position is accountable for, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for full SDLC of various SAP products in Enterprise Applications portfolio.
• Design and Develop robust OpenText applications using SAP ABAP, OOABAP and ABAP Cloud.
• Adapt existing applications to SAP Clean Core guidelines.
• Analyse and fact out the root cause for the bugs reported by QA or customer support and develop solutions to the problems.
• Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality.
• Produces precise documentation describing product and sub-systems architectures.
• Develop and re-factor code for high performance and scalability.
• Ability to coordinate and lead developmental activities with a team of developers.
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and manage customer facing scenarios

What You Need To Succeed

• B.S Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant field.

• 10+ years of development experience in SAP ABAP OOPS and ABPA Cloud
• Domain experience on S/4HANA is needed, with focus on Accounts Payable area
• Hands-on experience in core ABAP aeras, Dialog Programming, SAP Workflow etc.
• Application development experience with RAP programming model (ABAP RESTful), oDATA, CDS Views and AMDP
• Experience in custom code adaptation to ABAP Cloud, Clean Core and Extensibility
• Expertise in Design Patterns. Familiar with Performance optimization and Security aspects
• Expertise in troubleshooting, de-bugging and Performance optimization
• Experience in JavaScript and SAP UI5 / Fiori would be plus
• Familiarity with SAP BTP and Cloud environments would be plus
• Know-how of Opentext SAP Solutions, like SAP VIM, would be plus.
• Self-starter and demonstrated team player.
• Motivated to learn new toolsets and accept new challenges.

• Experience with agile software development methodologies (Iterative, XP, Scrum etc.) is a strong plus.

The office environment is a general office working environment. However, work outside standard business hours may be necessary due to project schedules and different time zones.
