Hybrid Contract Specialist bei JST

Overview

JST is currently seeking a Contract Specialist. The Contract Specialist provides cradle-to-grave contracting support to SLD 45/PMD and SLD 45/CONS, ensuring compliance with all applicable acquisition regulations, policies, and procedures. This role supports pre-award and post-award actions, including market research, solicitation development, proposal evaluation, contract negotiation, and administration. The Contract Specialist ensures all contractual actions are legally sound, cost-effective, and aligned with mission objectives. 

This is a full-time position on-site at Patrick Space Force Base, FL. JST offers a full benefit package, a collaborative work environment and strong company culture. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply. This position is contingent upon contract award. 

Contract Specialist Responsibilities

• Provide acquisition support for SLD 45/PMD and SLD 45/CONS in pre- and post-award contract actions.
• Draft, review, and edit contract documentation including PWSs, CDRLs, and modifications.
• Support market research, proposal evaluations, and negotiation strategy development.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable contracting policies and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain acquisition documentation for assigned contracts.

Contract Specialist Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Contract Management, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in federal contract management, with knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and agency supplements.
• DAWIA Contracting Level II or III (desired)
• Experience in both pre-award and post-award processes, including solicitation development, proposal evaluation, negotiations, and contract administration.
• Proven skills in price and cost analysis, source selection support, and contract file documentation.

Required Clearances and Screenings

• Active Secret clearance required at time of award and maintained throughout contract performance.
• MUST be able to successfully pass a drug screen and background check
