Job DescriptionSherwin-Williams is seeking at Raw Materials Coordinator in the EMEAI region. The position will be a key member of the R&D team and will work closely with Procurement to ensure the management, rationalisation and consolidation of raw materials and other key projects to maximise cost savings and efficiency while maintaining product quality.The key focus of the role will be execution in the EMEAI region it will require coordination across multiple functions but with the strongest alignment being with Procurement, R&D and Commercial leaders.This position will also work on critical strategic R&D projects in the region which are requiring technical knowledge, project management and organization skills like platforms, color strategy, technical transfer.The Raw Materials Coordinator will report directly to the R&D Manager, Malgorzata Wasiewicz-Kozlowska and can be based from any Sherwin-Williams lab/facility in UK, France, Sweden, Netherlands, Italy, Poland.This position is part of a group of 4 people totally to cover the region.Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with regional technical lab personnel, Purchasing, Product Stewardship, Marketing, operations stakeholder across all business units to identify and deliver raw materials savings opportunities but also for the needs for the different projects running
  • Track status of regional raw material projects; maintain regular updates through project management system (Navigator) and remove barriers to deliver target financial outcomes.
  • Interaction with Raw Material Coordinators in other regions. Interaction with global/regional raw material suppliers may also be required.
  • Review raw material data analytics to identify opportunities and communicate with stakeholders to gain buy-in for savings projects. Provide recommendations for go/no go decisions on RM strategies and plans on behalf of control labs; communicate resource requirements and project timing to plan financial outcomes.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities that may provide additional value in other regions.
  • Update formulas in formula management system. Ensure REACH/ EHS compliance.
  • Travel as necessary to labs and facilities to ensure success of strategies.
  • Manage 2 or 3 strategic projects related to R&D in the region
QualificationsEducationB.S. in Chemistry, Engineering or equivalentExperience:
  • Minimum 2+ years in related activities or research and development with preference for Packaging, Protective and Marine or CBG, IW, Automotive, Coil, GI.
  • Experience with formula systems: Product Vision and/or Optiva, Excel,
  • Experience with Business Objects, Analytics, Oracle (OBIEE), Tableau would be an asset
  • Analytical skills and interest for IT tools
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong ability to influence and communicate globally and in local language(s).
  • Good level of English
