Responsible for daily activities in the Electrical and Instrumentation workshop.
Ensure proper maintenance of turbo generators, boilers, and auxiliary systems as assigned by the Head or Engineer.
Conduct troubleshooting, predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance to ensure that plant equipment and systems operate smoothly.
Assist in the preparation and implementation of preventive maintenance and overhaul programs.
Prepare technical specifications required for the procurement of products, services, and ad-hoc maintenance.
Assist Engineer to the replenishment of spare parts.
Supervise and coordinate with contractors to ensure that work is completed within deadlines.
Collaborate closely with other departments on boiler and turbo-generator overhaul activities.
Support Engineers in managing maintenance contracts, inspections, testing, and commissioning.
Ensure that all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities are performed according to the plant’s standard protocols.
Perform electrical equipment and instrument switching, isolation, and normalization. Troubleshoot faults in medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) switchgear.
Coordinate with licensed electrical workers (LEW) for system troubleshooting. Respond to all electrical system emergencies.
Participate and monitor to ensure that safe work procedures are in place and properly implemented.
Participate in equipment upgrades as required.
Monitor plant operations for abnormalities and take immediate action as necessary.
Report activities related to preventive and corrective maintenance in a timely manner.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as reasonably requested by immediate supervisor or the head of the department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
5 years working experience in Industrial/Process Plant
Working knowledge of the principles and Electrical of plant equipment is essential
Meticulous with good interpersonal and communication skills
Have a safety mindset and participate actively in safety initiatives and events
Good team-player with high initiative
An interest in process or Waste-to-Energy (WTE) Plant maintenance. Must be able to get accustomed to WTE environment
Able to commit to emergency activation need beyond normal working hours.
This is a 2 years contract position.
