Position Overview

Reporting to the Vice President, Product, Omnipod 5 Franchise, the Senior Product Manager, International Expansion will be responsible for mapping and validating opportunities within International markets to deliver an exciting differentiating commercial plan and roadmap. You will manage market research and analyze market research data, advise the Franchise and international commercial teams on prioritization within segments and develop integrated commercial launch plans and roadmaps for the Omnipod 5 Platform.

The successful leader will have experience leading cross functional teams with the ability to translate business goals into high-impact product initiatives, strategies and plans. Informed by deep understanding of customer needs, competitive dynamics in the market, opportunities, he/she/they will develop and lead the execution of a roadmap that positions Insulet for sustained market leadership. They’ll achieve this by providing strong cross-functional leadership. He/she/they will develop and own business cases and processes for launch prioritization for new product initiatives and work cross functionally to deliver roadmaps and plans, to advance Insulet’s mission to improve the lives of people with diabetes.


  • Cultivate deep understanding of customer needs, competitive dynamics, and market opportunities
  • Builds insights and knowledge to assess the disease market penetration, barriers to treatment and market development opportunities to expand access and adoption of diabetes treatment.
  • Responsible for documenting international market dynamics including key stakeholders, treatment pathways, market dynamic and access partnering with international commercial leaders and market access.
  • Provide input to product positioning and document competitive information by partnering with global product marketing, commercial operations, and sales excellence
  • Work with Global Marketing teams to ensure development of product specific marketing collateral and/or content. Lead teams through data-driven processes to test commercial viability and technical feasibility, and then translate learnings into business cases informed by clear roadmaps and global platform execution plans
  • Develop and lead execution of the integrated roadmap to achieve enterprise and franchise level goals
  • Define integrated release targets & scope, value proposition & delivery to drive growth, provide customers with cadence of new innovations, and maximize return on investment
  • Responsible for on-market product performance, including but not limited to market share, retention, product complaints, etc.
  • Accountable to build and deliver business cases
  • Lead execution and release of product initiatives with technology teams, medical, regulatory, manufacturing and other teams across Insulet to lead on-budget, on-time cross-functional execution to realize value and advance Insulet’s mission
  • Collaborate with international commercial leaders to establish processes and best practices for launch priorities and roadmap
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing Managers to shape integrated launch strategy for global products
  • Create bottom-up planning for annual & strategic plans
  • Coordinate medical & scientific input & review
  • Collaborate on franchise roadmap and priorities in relation to enterprise-wide strategies

Education And Experience

  • 6+ yrs experience in a Product or Marketing Management position
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business; MBA preferred.
  • Experience with medical device product management, with deep knowledge of regulatory & quality requirements internationally
  • Experience developing and commercializing connected products/line extensions
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Diabetes experience or knowledge a plus
