A Snapshot of Your DayAs a Data Scientist, you’ll dive into large datasets to uncover insights that drive significant improvements in our R&D processes. You will focus on Machine Learning and Generative AI to drive the implementation of AI use cases. You’ll spend your day collaborating with multi-functional teams & external partners, consult domain experts and apply sophisticated data science techniques to solve real-world problems.Your work will contribute to process improvement, cost reduction, and support Siemens Energy in its mission to innovate and lead in the energy sector.How You’ll Make An Impact - Design, implement, and evaluate large-scale language models and generative AI use cases
- Work with data engineers to build cases and determine the most suitable solution for business partners' processes.
- Optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of language, vision models and generative AI systems.
- Share the outcomes and findings of machine learning experiments and projects with collaborators and customers.
- Regularly validate and develop further AI solutions based on customer/user feedback
- Encouraging information exchange, providing assistance during trainings, and promoting awareness to support the implementation of AI/ML across the R&D teams.
- Being up to date on latest developments in data science, AI/ML principles and theories to help the business make truly data-driven decisions.
What You BringMust have: - Master's degree or PhD in computer science, machine learning, natural language processing, or related fields, or equivalent experience in these areas.
- Proven analytical skills and profound expertise in data science with focus on Generative AI, LLMs, NLP and other artificial intelligence methods
- Passion for AI, data and analytics
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, good knowledge in the application of statistical modelling as well as experience in deployment and cloud computing.
- Interest in dealing with business processes and technical challenges in order to derive optimization potential
- Deep knowledge in at least one Machine learning environment (SageMaker, AI Studio, WatsonX or comparable)
- Willingness to travel with focus central Europe (~25%)
- Proficient command of the English language
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Attitude that values agility and excellent organizational/planning skills to manage multiple sophisticated projects.
Nice to have: - Experience & interest in data engineering & migration
- Knowledge of snowflake SQL Scripting, Alteryx, SnapLogic.
- Knowledge in building End – to end data pipeline.
