About The Opportunity

A Software Developer III is a professional who designs, creates, and maintains software applications. They are significant contributors in feature delivery and are responsible for analyzing user needs, developing software solutions, and writing code to meet those requirements.

The Dayforce Product Development team is looking for an intelligent Software Developer to create the industry’s next generation Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions. We are offering an opportunity to reinvent HCM and develop award winning and innovative solutions that challenge the industry perception of what an HCM solution can do.

As a developer on our Global Payroll team, you will be working on our ground-breaking solution that helps companies increase their efficiencies through paying employees accurately and on time. Your impact will be evident through your effective participation in the entire lifecycle of our software including design, analysis, prototyping, development, testing and support of our products. You will work closely and collaborate with clients, prospects, implementation partners, and Dayforce personnel to envision and deliver the required functionality.

What You’ll Get To Do

  • Design, code, and test features across our tech stack
  • Debug complex issues and find solutions across various parts of the system
  • Use modern tools to streamline development and improve efficiency
  • Write meaningful unit tests and automated integration tests
  • Work with the team to ensure our code meets software accessibility standards (we follow WCAG)
  • Collaborate with business teams to turn their requirements into functional features
  • Break down tasks, prioritize, and give accurate time estimates
  • Help tackle technical debt, always considering the broader impact
  • Be a key contributor to the success of our cross-functional Scrum team

Skills & Experience We Value

  • Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
  • Familiarity with C# and .NET Framework
  • Experience building scalable RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of relational databases (T-SQL) and GraphQL
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG AA) is a big plus!
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure like Azure
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum principles
  • Ability to write unit tests with solid coverage, and automated integration tests using Gherkin/Specflow, Cypress, or Jest
  • Great team player—ready to test your teammate’s code and help maintain high standards
