Azul Sales Engineers
Azul Systems seek experienced, smart and creative sales engineers responsible for driving all technical aspects of our sales cycles. This is an exciting role that demands initiative and enthusiasm. You will be responsible, along with your sales partners in closing and growing Azul System’s presence within the world’s largest organizations.
Expectations of Azul Sales Engineers
- You are the technical expert who best understands, articulates and evangelizes Azul’s solutions.
- Your presentations are crisp, informative and use powerful storytelling to convey value.
- You own the entire technical sales process, working in tandem with your sales partners to identify, qualify and scope new and upsell opportunities.
- You are responsible for the successful execution of pilots.
- You constantly build and maintain strong relationships with customer champions and key stakeholders.
- You collaborate with peers throughout Azul to learn, contribute and share best practices.
What We Expect from You
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, engineering or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a sales engineer with hands-on experience executing pilots.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in IT support or development.
- Minimum of 1 year experience writing code.
- Must have strong working knowledge of Linux and Java.
- Must be an outstanding storyteller and presenter.
- Must have high emotional intelligence (EQ).
- Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work autonomously.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal and social skills and operate as a thought leader.
- Must have a record of building and fostering strong customer relationships.
- Should have experience with JVM internals.
- Should have experience in application performance analysis and tuning.
- Should have experience with the latest technologies such as Cassandra, Spark, Kubernetes, Elastic, and cloud providers such as Azure and AWS.
- Should be a great analytical problem solver.
- Should have data analysis skills.
- Should be able to analyze business and technical needs from customers and communicate them clearly to engineering teams.
- Should be comfortable with up to 30% travel.
- Should be open-minded, possess a fun attitude to work and be comfortable with ambiguity.
