As a Data Quality Assurance Analyst (m/f/d) in this Team, you will ensure that our recommendation engine, product sorting logic, and search in the shop satisfy high-quality standards. You’ll work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineers to achieve this. Further, you’ll improve and establish translating business requirements into an automated testing suite.

- Ensure the quality and reliability of the data pipelines and algorithms powering AY’s recommendations, sorting, and search features
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for various Products, focusing on data accuracy, algorithm performance, and user experience impact
- Develop and maintain automated data quality checks, tests and monitoring systems
- Contribute to the evolving data quality standards and best practices within the BIAPP team
- Design, monitor and maintain QA reports, KPIs & quality trends for our internal data systems
- Participate in post-mortem analysis of production issues to identify root causes and define QA measures to prevent future failures
- Practical experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, pytest) and testing APIs, ideally within data science or recommendation system contexts
- Experience designing testing strategies for dynamic products with variable data inputs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes (e.g.Gitlab CI, Github Actions), ticketing systems (e.g., Jira), and monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog) is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with proven experience using SQL and data analysis tools
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques
- Proficiency in at least one modern object-oriented programming language, such as Python or JavaScript
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data quality principles
- Fascinated by the data behind personalized shopping: You’re driven to understand how data powers systems like search, recommendations, and product sorting in an e-commerce environment
- Highly structured and detail-oriented work style
- Strong problem-solving skills with an adaptable mindset for a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, including fluent written and spoken English for clear collaboration
