This role's responsibility includes defining the overall data platform strategy to support transactional data, AI-training data, and BI reporting, as well as designing and optimizing ETL pipelines to ensure efficient data flow and accessibility for all key stakeholders.Key responsibility:
- Work with customers and internal business stakeholders to deeply understanding of their data needs to solve their business problems and translate them into requirements.
- Define product strategy and roadmap to support data and business analytics reporting needs to increase internal efficiency.
- Work closely with a data architect to integrate multiple database systems, including Postgres SQL, SQL server, Cosmos DB, and a data lake house, to support transactional processing, AI-powered applications, and BI reporting.
- Collaborate with data engineers to design and build data models that support the BI data layer for reporting.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to establish data governance policies and ensure data privacy and protection protocols are in place.
- Prioritize features and development efforts based on a thorough understanding of customer and business needs and company strategy.
- Bachelor s degree in business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in data infrastructure, data design, data analytics, data visualization, and BI reporting, with a strong understanding of multiple database systems and supporting AI-driven applications.
- 2+ years of experience in working with data scientists to support data pipelines for machine learning training and fine-tuning, ensuring the seamless flow of data throughout the AI/ML development lifecycle
- A strong understanding of data lake houses, SQL, experience with Postgres DB for transactional data, and a solid grasp of Cosmos DB for managing vector data is essential.
- Experience in designing and building data platform, ETL, data preparation features, and performance tuning.
- Ability to design and implement data models that support effective BI reporting and analytics, including building data marts and star schemas for optimized reporting.
- Knowledge of integrating BI reporting systems with the data lake house to ensure that BI reports are powered by up-to-date, accurate data
- Ability to drive results through influence and problem-solving aptitude.
