Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, proactively identifying areas for improvement and recommending effective solutions.
- Support and maintain network backbone infrastructure across multiple datacenters and geographic regions, utilizing dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and various connectivity mediums (DIA, PTP, VPN, multigig connectivity, crossconnects).
- Independently lead mediumsized client engagements involving equipment deployment, network design, or refresh tasks.
- Provide escalation support for incidents affecting client offices, datacenters, public cloud networks (Azure and AWS), and remote access solutions (VPN, Citrix, etc.).
- Support and maintain NGFW firewall configurations, troubleshooting both datacenter and client environments.
- Work directly with highprofile clients to deliver tailored solutions, ensuring seamless resolution of issues with a focus on critical dependencies.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to provide solutions and support escalations effectively.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for client infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current with technological advancements, recommending solutions to enhance performance, security, and efficiency.
- Mentor and guide other team members, helping them develop their technical skills.
- Extensive experience deploying and managing Juniper hardware, including SRX and EX platforms.
- Strong experience with Cisco hardware, including ISR, ASR, Nexus, and Catalyst platforms.
- Proficient in supporting NGFW solutions from Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco.
- Indepth understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking concepts.
- Exceptional LAN/WAN diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with expertise in Spanning Tree, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, OSPF, VPN, IPSEC, QoS, NATs, and ACLs.
- Experience managing datacenter networks, ideally in a multitenant MSP environment, with a focus on maintaining network performance and resolving issues.
- Proven experience in office network design, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Strong ability to lead client engagements and propose innovative network solutions.
- Expertise in managing technical projects from inception to completion, including requirement gathering, planning, execution, and postimplementation review.
- Familiarity with network monitoring platforms.
- Solid understanding of virtualization and network integration within VMware infrastructure.
- Preferred experience maintaining network solutions based on Azure’s platform.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements, with strong task prioritization skills.
- Excellent documentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Commitment to learning new technologies and staying updated with industry trends.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- 8+ years of experience in networking.
- CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is a plus.
