Gridiron IT is seeking a WordPress Developer (2) to work 100% remote. Must be clear for a government Public Trust clearance.
Job Summary: The WordPress Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable WordPress solutions that meet the needs of our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of WordPress architecture, coding skills, and the ability work on a team of developers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement complex WordPress solutions
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and implement project requirements and deliverables.
- Develop code and provide mentorship to junior developers and customer content creators
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to WordPress sites.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and best practices.
- Ensure all WordPress solutions adhere to industry standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation for projects and processes.
- Communication and collaboration with content developers to advise on solutions and troubleshoot problems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a WordPress Architect or in a similar development role.
- Extensive experience with PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Strong understanding of WordPress core, themes, and plugins (like Gutenberg).
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work closely with customers and other developers
- Experience with headless WordPress and JAMstack architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud services and deployment (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
- Experience with performance optimization tools and techniques.
Salary Range: $50,000 - $95,000/yr

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
