A Snapshot of your dayAs the HVDC Outage and Resource Planner, you will have responsibility for planning and handling outage schedules for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems and optimally prioritising resource to ensure minimal disruption to operations.How you’ll make an impact:

  • Develop and maintain outage schedules for HVDC systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to plan and schedule maintenance, repairs, and upgrades for HVDC systems.
  • Use resource management tools and techniques to effectively allocate workforce, equipment, and materials for outage activities.
  • Analyze outage data and performance metrics to find opportunities for improvement and optimize outage schedules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure outage planning aligns with operational needs and business objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry standard processes and new technologies related to HVDC systems and outage planning.
What you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong experience in outage planning and resource management for HVDC systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVDC technology, maintenance practices, and outage scheduling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and partners.
  • Proficiency in using outage management software and resource planning tools.
