Job TitleRoute Optimization Manager - Remote Supporting Northeast RegionPosition OverviewShaw Industries is seeking a Route Optimization Manager. The primary role of this position is to provide oversight and support to Regional Distribution Center (RDC) Managers and Regional Operations Director on the overall utilization and efficiency of routing software. In addition, this position will monitor the maintenance, and the effective use of Transportation equipment. This position will lead and manage a team of six direct-report Transportation Coordinators (TCs), each located at a regional distribution center. The ideal candidate should have experience in solving final mile routing issues and using data analysis to drive continuous improvement. In addition, this position will act as Omnitracs/RoadNet administrator for new driver/associate setup and assist Supply Chain Business Solutions group in testing updates in the routing software as they become available.   • Build and maintain strong relationships and strategic alignment with leadership across the RDCs, Regional Operations Managers (ROMs) and Supply Chain Business Solutions (SCBS).
  • Oversee quality of routing, service and efficiency for the RDCs within the region.
  • Act as coach/mentor, empowering TC growth and development.
  • Work with TCs to identify opportunities and problem solve with them to achieve goals.
  • Set performance expectations and execution timelines with TCs and field leadership.
  • Train new associates.
  • Work with ROMs, RDC Managers and Directors to identify and optimize Key Performance Indicators.
  • Develop and pursue opportunities to innovate and contribute to the analytics strategy of the ROM and RDC team.
  • Analyze data and develop reports to provide cost saving solutions and improve service.
  • Partner with corporate freight to increase saturation.
  • Serve as front line support for routing software or process issues.
  • Collaborate with the SCBS group to identify enhancements to current software or reports, assisting in testing and implementing software updates.
RequirementsThe candidate should have good communication skills, both verbal and written. Enjoys critical thinking and creating new solutions to solve complex problems. Organized with specific attention to detail. Well versed in applications including or similar to M365, power BI and tableau. Willing and able to travel to regional warehouses located throughout the country. Four-year degree and 1+ years of transportation/logistics experience; or High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years of transportation or logistics experience; or 3+ years of data analysis experience.Preferred: Advanced skills in building spreadsheets, manipulating and cleaning data, forecasting, and other data analysis techniques. Proficiency in Omnitracs/Roadnet or other routing software. Background in Logistics and DOT/OSHA compliance.Competencies
