Title: Associate Data EngineerLocation: Remote CanadaReports To: Director, Data InsightsThe Impact You Will Have In This RoleWe make data products that solve problems for the auto industry. Every data engineer will work on projects that go into production and directly impact new and existing products. What You'll Be Doing In This Role

  • Daily immersion in automotive industry data
  • Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
  • Exercise judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Involve basic data processing and cleaning tasks
  • Focus on foundational skills development in data operations
  • Build productive internal/external working relationships
Qualifications Of This Role
  • Basic understanding of data cleaning and quality assurance techniques
  • Familiarity with SAS, SQL, or basic data manipulation in Python, PySpark and R
  • Exposure to basic data joining and pipeline building concepts including tools like GCP dataflow & Palantir
  • Knowledge of basic Big Data technologies
  • Basic knowledge of Excel for data processing tasks
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis is desired
  • Ability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Resilient work ethic
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, or an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent work experience
