Randstad is hiring a Backend Developer, with more than 3 years of experience with Node.js (Docker and Kubernetes are also very important), for direct integration in a client with offices in Lisbon and co-working spaces in the Coimbra, Braga, Porto and Aveiro.

The position can be full remote (but the candidate needs to be available for team events and important meetings, both are rare). It is necessary to be eligible to work in Portugal and live in Lisbon, Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra or Braga (or be available to relocate).

As a Senior Back-End Developer, this professional will manage the data exchange between the server and the users. Will focus on development of all server-side logic and the definition of the central database; ensure high responsiveness and performance to requests from the front-end; work in a cross-functional team.

Requirements:

  • More than 3 years of experience working with web application development (mandatory requirement).
  • More than 3 years of experience working with Node.js development in high-scale applications (mandatory requirement).
  • Experience using Node.js in multithreading mode.
  • Experience in running applications in container-based orchestration environments is also a mandatory requirement (Kubernetes and Docker).
  • Experience with writing unit and integration tests.
  • Good english communication (minimum B2 intermediate level is a mandatory requirement).
  • Experience working in a product-centric team and experience deploying software into production are valued extra skills.

  • Follow development practices.
  • Garantee GIT working flow.
  • Estimate features with time and precision.
  • Work in agile (scrum methodology).

National and international projects are in many sectors of activity (fintech, marketplace, health, education, AI, IoT, music, social media, among others). This professional will report to a Team Leader and the CTO.
