This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-skilled agile squad in which you will be part of a project to transform the way customers interact with Admiral. We’re building out We’re building out a web UI admin panel where we can manage our contact centre, and we’re looking for someone to help ensure that we build the best possible journeys.We’re using tools such as Google Cloud Platform, Azure DevOps, Terraform and Git to build against the APIs for our SaaS contact centre platform. You will play a proactive role in improving our customer journeys and agent experiences and delivering significant business value.About The TeamYou will be part of an Agent Solutions squad within the Customer Engagement Tribe. Additionally, you will be part of the QA chapter, which sits across several squads within the tribe. The teams try to follow Agile principles and best practices in order to deliver high quality software, and we’re always open to suggestions on how we can get even better.About YouWe are looking for an enthusiastic and curious individual, who can think creatively to solve problems and collaborates well with others. You must have a keen interest in testing and quality assurance, applying shift-left, test-first principles. You will be working with systems that have a web UI as their front end, and we will be looking for you to use your experience to help shape how best to gain confidence in the quality of the system.We are looking for someone who can work both independently and as part of a squad within a fast-paced and changing environment. We love for people to have opinions on how we can improve, and the ability to share those opinions productively.ResponsibilitiesWithin the multi-discipline squad, you will be responsible for leading efforts to ensure the quality of the services and applications we are developing. This will include:

  • Refining user stories and defining the test approach for them.
  • Writing automated tests in our testing framework (backend and frontend).
  • Contributing to improvements of the testing framework.
  • Recording, analysing, and managing defects found during testing.
  • Participation in sprint ceremonies and championing a shift-left approach to testing for earlier feedback in the development lifecycle.
  • Working closely with product managers and developers to gain expertise in what the product does and how it works.
  • Working with the developers to advise on how to build and design code level tests.
  • Contributing to test strategies, collaborating with others in continually improving the test process and raising standards within the squad.
Essential Skills And Experience
  • Experience of working in an agile environment.
  • Experience of working collaboratively to improve overall test and other processes.
  • Experience with automated acceptance testing (Preferably Playwright).
  • Experience in Java.
  • Exposure to integrating automated testing into a CI/CD pipeline.
  • Exposure to working in cloud-based git repositories.
  • The ability to learn new skills, tools, and new problem domains.
  • The ability to think about test coverage holistically and guide the team to improving it.
Desirable Skills And Experience
  • Good knowledge of web technologies, especially server-side ones.
  • Experience in writing test automation code.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, AWS).
  • Knowledge of telephony systems or contact centres.
