Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Engineer at FunderPro, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the backend infrastructure of our prop trading technology. Working within our TypeScript and NestJS tech stack, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, performant, and secure backend solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that drive business growth and customer success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Backend System Design: Lead the design of scalable, efficient, and innovative backend systems and architectures that meet the evolving needs of our prop trading platform.
  • Backend Development: Develop and maintain robust backend solutions using TypeScript and NestJS, focusing on writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices.
  • API Development: Design and implement secure and efficient RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between different components of the FunderPro platform.
  • Security: Implement and maintain robust security measures within backend systems to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with frontend engineers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Ensure seamless integration between backend services and frontend components.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, driving best practices and ensuring the adoption of engineering standards and principles.
  • Code Reviews and Feedback: Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices within the backend development team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in our development processes, tools, and infrastructure to optimize efficiency, performance, and developer productivity. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in backend development.
  • Innovation: Drive innovation within the FunderPro tech stack, exploring new technologies and approaches to enhance performance, scalability, and user experience. Focus on simplicity and robust implementations to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and experience with Node.js development.
  • Strong experience with backend frameworks such as NestJS.
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing secure backend solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
