About the job
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Intelligence Analyst to join our dynamic team. The BI Analyst will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, interpreting trends and patterns, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This role involves designing and maintaining databases and systems for querying and reporting purposes, as well as developing and presenting reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data analysis tools and methodologies, proficiency in SQL and data visualization software, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights.
- Design and maintain databases and data systems for business intelligence purposes.
- Develop and implement reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and data needs.
- Identify trends and patterns in data to support strategic initiatives.
- Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and consistency across databases and reports.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and data analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CBIP, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or Data Analyst.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and statistical analysis software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex data findings into actionable insights.
- Experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and database development.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
